Nova draws inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic, pairing their roots in American dance music with new repertoire from Scotland, France, Belgium, and more. This concert tour will present new songs and tunes inspired by the group’s recent travels across the States and around Europe.
Kathleen spent a year in Ireland absorbing as much music as possible and now lives in the Netherlands, Everest spent 5 months in France this year, and all three bandmates have found a new passion for European folk dance and music at such world famous festivals as Festival Interceltique de Lorient, le Grand Bal de l’Europe, and Gennetines. We will be debuting new material developed for concerts and dancing, bringing the vivaciousness and energy of dance music to a more subtle and intimate environment. Don’t miss this opportunity to see this far-flung group playing exclusive concert repertoire that *gasp* may find its way onto the next CD (spoilers).
